Hello Ladies, sorry for the delay in the January report but a little thing like our half marathon seemed to take up all of my time since the end of the month! A huge thanks to all of you who helped to make it a success and well down to those of you who ran … more of that in next month’s report!
You’ve all been busy out there as well, with 20 ladies and 5 junior babes at the new x country course at Ipswich also 5 of you took on the challenge of the Folksworth 15.
We had one brave soul, Lex, who competed at the SEAA x country championship at Parliament Hills and ‘enjoying’ slightly better weather conditions than the men who ran later in the day!
It’s a tough time of year for training , especially those of you training for Marathons, and you are all to be congratulated for turning out for the sessions whatever the weather. All that hard work will definitely pay off in the end!
One person who has been quietly beavering away increasing her mileage and race distances, first Stebbing 10 and then Folksworth 15, is Bee and for all this effort and hard work she is my Runner of the Month for January. Well done Bee, keep up the good work!
The final X Country is Hadleigh, 23rd Feb. Sorry, I won’t be there to cheer you on this time but I’ll be watching the website for results! Good luck!!!
