Karen Skene ran the Larking Gowan Norwich half marathon on Sunday 24th November. Skene took 1:48:55 to complete the race and was 9th lady in her age group.
Also on Sunday, Charlie Keitch and Scott Young took on the Adnams Southwold 10k. Conditions were good for this 3 lap course, and Keitch and Young finished in 39:58 and 48:26 respectively.
The Hadleigh 10 mile race saw a group of Great Bentley runners take part. Kevin Stevens and Tom Fowler were first Bentley men home, in 1:08:58, a PB for Stevens. Next to finish was Malcolm Jarvis, running his first 10 miler in 1:11:37. Following him was Patrick Reynolds in 1:12. Other runners were Kevin James 1:16:38, Jamie Neill 1:16:54, Shawn Leek 1:16:55, Theresa Bishop 1:22:13, and Des Bishop 1:22:14. 7 year old Harrison Leek ran the fun run and was 3rd in his age group.
Ben Ficken and Rodger Alexander, always looking for something different, ran the 3 Mole Hills multi terrain race in Dorking, Surrey. This race is a 3 person relay, but there is an option for solo runners to run all 3 legs, which Ficken and Alexander did. The legs consist of Box Hill, Norbury Park, and Ranmore and is just under 15 miles. Ficken came 11th out of 149 solo runners in 1:45:34. Alexander came 49th in 1:59:52.
