November has been another month full of standards & pb’s which is great! There has been many races.

Then there was the cold & wet XC at Harwich. We had an unbelievable turnout for this, which I was over the moon with!! We finished in 4th spot as did the ladies, holding onto 3rd spot. Witham XC again we had a fantastic turn out. This time it resulted in Gt Bentley claiming 2nd spot overall. Highest ever for us!! So you should all be very proud of that achievement,I know I am. John Booth running his first 10 mile race ran very well finishing in 1hr 1min 15 sec. Des bishop ran a fantastic 1hr 17min 27sec & Eric Shaw coming back from illness ran a fine 1hr24min 24sec.
Now runner of the month. I would just like to say that although there is one runner of the month that I am impressed with all of your efforts put in at training & racing especially those cold Sunday mornings getting wet a muddy at XC (my favourite). It was again a close run thing only between two of you. The man that has stuck in my mind though is Des Bishop. He is training hard, racing hard! Earning standards & getting pb’s. He also makes a cracking XC cake. Very well done DES BISHOP!! Runner of the month for November!
May I just remind you all that after 4 out of the 6 races in the 53-12 XC league,we are still sitting in 2nd spot. I for one am over the moon with your commitment to the club, turning out on those cold mornings! I’m pretty sure Clive Jones sits at home on a Sunday afternoon with a big grin on his face,as do I.
I hope we can all keep this momentum up for the next 2 races.
Thanks again to every one of you.
You’ve made my XC season!!
See you soon.
A very happy cappy!!
