Well done to all who took part and supported this year’s Micky Edwards series.
In total we had 71 different runners taking part posting over 210 different times ranging from 17:22 to 45:57 with the average 5k time of 25:55. There were 87 separate improvements over the course of the series – well done to all who achieved that. And the last statistic: all running times added together come to 91h 07m 55s.
It’s wonderful to see so many runners improving their times over the series. Additionally, the following runners improved in at least three handicaps:
Alan Johnson, Andrea Markwick, Flynn Eyre, James Eyre, Lorraine Adams, Mark Jasper, Martin Cotton, Matthew Illsley and Peter Reeve – Well done!
The fastest female time for the whole series: 20:14 – Lisa Briggs at Handicap 2.
The fastest male time for the whole series: 17:22 – Mark Jasper at Handicap 4.
Both performances are very impressive: one set a new female course record, and the other was achieved on a very hot day – Well done both!
And the winner of the whole series is:
Martin Cotton with nearly a perfect score of 299 points – CONGRATULATIONS!
Martin improved for over five minutes throughout the whole series. Well done!
Second place belongs to Alan Johnson with 295 points and third to Peter Reeve with 279 points.

The rest of TOP 10 results:

Andrea Markwick – 269
Flynn Eyre – 249
James Eyre – 248
Mark Jasper – 244
Matthew Illsley -235

Thank you to all who took part.
These races were not possible without marshals.
Thank You Very Much to those who marshalled throughout the series and to the whole core team.
We are back on 10th July for Geoff Day Memorial 5k. Hope to see many of you there.
