Dear members,
First of all, thank you to all who have volunteered to marshal for the x-country race at Hilly Fields on Sunday 6 November.
Please find attached the marshal list for the race below. Alongside your name on the marshal list you will find your marshal point number. Please remember this number or even better, print off the attached list and bring it with you on the day. Also, alongside your name, you will see a contact number – this is the number you should use if you need any information/assistance on the race day.
Each marshal point on the course will have a marshal point number which is displayed on a wooden stake in the ground, which will correspond with the number you have been assigned on the marshal list. When you are in place at your marshal point, please text the contact number to confirm that you are there.
On the day there will be a big map in the GBRC tent showing you where all the marshal points are on the course.
Please remember that there is an adult race and a junior race. Marshal points 1 – 5 and 22 – 33 will be marshals for both the adult and junior race.
When the races are finished and the last runner has come past (this will be a GBRC marshal), please remove the marshal point number and direction post and return them to the start/finish point.
On arrival, please pick up your marshal bib and thermal blanket (the blanket is for runners who might retire from the race and is to prevent them from getting cold). Please also return the blankets and bibs to the start/finish area when the race is finished.
If a runner reports an injury or requires any other medical attention, please contact Scott Young on this number: 07762 572035. But for any serious injuries, please dial 999.
For any enquiries prior to race day, please contact RODGER ALEXANDER on 07881 951621. Also, I will be at Hilly Fields most of the day on Saturday 5 November if you would like to come along and see where your marshal point is on the course.
