This week continued to quite quiet on the racing front. It is good to see lots of you making the most of training sessions though in preparation for your next race.
Sue Wright and Barbara Law ran the seven mile trail race ‘Another one bites the dust’ organised by Essex Trail events. After recent rainfall, it was a very muddy course. Paul and Deborah Hollidge also took part in the event, finishing in a time of 1:19:17.
Emma Welham, Anna Young and Zoe Reynolds took part in the 10th anniversary MoRun in Ipswich, a run put on by the Movember Foundation to raise funds and awareness for mens health. Zoe would like to personally thank Anna and Emma for keeping her going through the mud and up the hills. Great team work ladies, well done!
On Sunday, there is now competition for parkrun’s crown as a free 5k timed run. Great Run Local are offering a 2k and 5k run each week. Currently, the nearest one to Great Bentley is Alton Water.
