The 3rd race in the Friday 5 series was held at Haughley Park, Stowmarket on Friday evening the 14th of June. 10 Bentley runners took part in this picturesque but demanding off road race. Newcomer Ryan Bedingfield once again ran a PB in 35:57. Other runners were Charlie Keitch 33:04, Vicky Presland 36:34, Karen Skene 40:41, Jason Bennett 45:29, Chris Hayes 46:36, Paul Blackwell 46:48, Amanda Prior 53:28, Peter Reeve 54:33 and Dave Nugent 1:03:00.

Bedingfield sets another PB.

Vicky Presland won her age group (FM35), while her daughters Milly and Katie Presland both came first in their age groups of under 9 and under 13 respectively in the children’s race.

Karen Skene and Shawn Leek ran the Ipswich Parkrun on Saturday 15th June in 25:31, coming 36th and 37th.

Colchester Parkrun saw a good turnout of Blue Vests, including Milly Presland, 8, taking just 27:31 to run her first 5k race. Mark Crittenden gained a PB in 28:48, and other runners were Ben Ficken 18:48, Kate Ellis 26:08, Phil Presland 27:32, Sue Sorrell 28:08 and Ruth Metcalfe 34:14.
