Hello and welcome to another run report. The last two weeks have included the GBRC half so it was a quiet Sunday for events that day. Even outside of that, there isn’t a great deal to report on. I’m sure everyone is saving themselves for the next few weeks.
Parkrun
We had less Parkrunners out than usual as you can see here https://www.parkrun.com/results/consolidatedclub/?clubNum=1475 for the full set of results. One run that did stand out was Mags Komorowska’s first lady at Mura di Lucca parkrun in Italy.
Peddars way
This is a 48 mile route through historical Suffolk and Norfolk, Starting from Knettishall Heath Nature reserve and running north to Holme-next-the-Sea on the Norfolk Coast. It is an ancient Pre Roman trading route and was a Roman road, it has existed on maps and as a known route all through recorded history in the UK with the Romans paving sections and modernising it.
The 3rd of February, saw Adam Toyne taking part in this event. Adam finished in a time of 10 hours and 48 minutes.

Essex Trail Events Dark Hart
Claudia Keitch and Scott Young ran the Essex Trail Events Dark Hart. Apparently it was good fun and they only took one wrong turn. I believe the event was held on 6th February.
Hockley XC
Meera Rajoo-Oakley went to Hockley for the last Essex League XC fixture this year. Meera said “It was a really good course with a nice gentle start around some football pitches before heading into Highwoods style fields and woody areas. There was only one ditch jump (full of yesterday’s rain) but it was two laps so you got the pleasure twice!”
Meera was happy to improve on her finish position compared to Writtle XC

And that’s your lot for today. Remember to post your runs and pictures in Mag’s pinned post in the GBRC Facebook page to give us race reporters something to write about. Until next time…
