It could be my technological ineptitude or the Parkrun consolidated results page is actually having technical issues but as I write this, I can only report on the Parkruns I have seen on Strava and Facebook.
Mags and Tom ran at Monsal Trail parkrun near Bakewell which is along a disused railway track, I do hope you made train noises or a least a little peep peep as you ran the course, I know I would. There were a few of you at Thornham Walks including Meera, Helene Tyler, and the Briggs family, where Xander ran his first ever 5k, rumour has it that he left Jon for dust in a sprint finish at the end, Lisa got first lady as well so a
great result for two out of the three Briggs’s.

Charlie Keitch went to size up Sizewell Parkrun whilst away with his family he used the excuse that he was scoping it out for a potential destination for some Bentley Parkrun tourism in the future. Although he put in a great effort and came in fifth it would appear that his family were more interested in throwing stones into the ocean.

Martin Cotton made his way to Chiltern Fields just north of Stowmarket for his slice of Saturday Parkrun action and Mel Paris was at Clare castle, which we’re off to for one of the Parkrun socials, do they have a good coffee shop there Mel?
I myself went to Colchester Castle and bumped into a few Bentleys there so I am sure there was more Park running going on that I can report.
During the week was the second race in our Mickey Edwards series with some more strong performances and pb’s. Looking at the results table it’s tight at the top still with two races to go.

Off to the Wild Goat festival now which is a mix of sport, music food, camping and much more. From what I can gather three of our ladies went including Andrea Markwick who streaked past Ex Olympian Paula Radcliffe in a hilly 5k race, Paula who, is what I say.

Friday saw the return of the Friday 5 races, the first of which was at Sudbury, the route used is not the same as their Good Friday race but having run it I can say it’s just as hilly. Paul Davison, Rob Dyer, Martin Cotton, Sammy Cotton and Mark and Donna Harris all turned up to tackle the hills. Hilly courses must appeal to Paul Davison as he managed to score himself a 5 mile pb, well done Paul.

Justin and Kelly Hayhoe took themselves off to run the Rayleigh 10k, which is a multi terrain course. Both of them reported that it was very muddy and hilly but ultimately a great deal of fun, both of them ran really well on what sounds like a very tricky course.
Just before I go did anyone else see the cow that photobombed a picture Mags and Tom took whilst out running? I think it’s actually a cardboard cutout and will start appearing in more photos in the future.
