This weekend saw the start of December and the annual Run for Gem, a 5km run which takes place each year to raise money and awareness for Brain Tumour Research and St Helena Hospice. Many of you had connections to Gemma Edgar and after looking through the photos taken, it was good to see many blue shirts among the runners. Craig Mitchell ran with one of the young footballers taking part. helping him to cross the 5km line first. Our cross country fixture on Sunday is raising money for Brain Tumour Research and St Helena Hospice by asking for donations on our refreshment stall.
There was the usual 9am 5km parkrun outing for many of you. The Briggs found that Wetherby parkrun was not cancelled and the -5 degree temperature did not put them off with Lisa coming home first lady in 22:02 and Jonathan in 23:12.
The rest of the results for this week can be found here.
