When I opened up the parkrun results this week, I then had the task of finding out whereabouts some of them were! I believe Lanhydrock in Cornwall is the furthest away with Lisa Briggs running it in 25:20. A close second for distance was Richard Moor at New Earswick parkrun near York and he ran it in 22:30. Martin and Sam Cotton ran the Old Deer Park parkrun in West London, whilst there were also tourism runs at Wimpole Estate, Bury St Edmunds and Valentines parkruns. All results can be found here.
On Friday night, it was the Twilight 10km in Ipswich. The weather was not kind, but it didn’t stop Sarah Blewden getting a PB with 53:20. Kathy Bishop ran 49:12, John Ferdinand 58:22 and Karen O’Grady in 1:18:00.
On Sunday, two Bentley blues travelled to Norwich to take part in the 10km race. Darren David completed the course in 56:11 and Sarah Blewden ran her 2nd 10km of the week in 1:02:02.
This week was a quieter week for running so the featured photo is some of you on the trail run, so I finish this report with a reminder that we are half way through July and trail run two already!
