2023 – FINAL RESULTS

Wednesday 28th June – 4th handicap

Fourth and the final handicap of the series saw 26 runners taking part. It was another hot day with very little breeze. Many runners were happy just to cross the finish line in these condition. Despite the heat few runners still improved their times: Alison Clarke, Doug McGillivray, Claire Poole and Donna Harris

Top 3 fastest male times: Doug McGillivray (16:44), Mark Jasper (17:29), Joshua Beaumont (17:29)

Top 3 fastest female times: Inga Hayden-Cooper (24:36), Anna Lyon (25:33), Donna Harris (26:34)

Summary of the series:

The fastest male time for the whole series: 16:44 – Doug McGillivray at Handicap 4 (male course record)

The fastest female time for the whole series: 20:29 – Lisa Briggs at Handicap 3 (female course record)

Well done to both Doug and Lisa. To achieve these impressive times they have improved on every handicap they ran.

Apart from Doug and Lisa the following runners also improved on at least three handicaps:
Stewart Baggs, Anthea Colsell, Stephen Walsh, Claire Poole, Donna Harris, Darren David, Piers Markwick – Well done!

And the winner of the whole series is:

Stewart Baggs with 296 points – CONGARTULATIONS!

Stewart improved for over four and half minutes throughout the whole series. Well done!

Join second place belongs to Anthea Colsell and Stephen Walsh with 278 points. Both improved over 3 minutes over the course of the series – Great work!

In total we had 67 different runners taking part posting 192 different times ranging from 16:44 to 51:38 with the average 5k time of 26:45. There were 76 separate improvements over the course of the series – well done to all who achieved that. And the last statistic: all running times added together comes to 85h 36m 53s.
