Easter Weekend started with the Bob French Sudbury Fun Run on Good Friday, which is one of the longest running events on the local racing calendar, and which is well known for its tough, hilly course. However, this was a cross our athletes bore lightly as they achieved some fantastic times.

Our finishers were:
- Doug McGillivray (29:05) who finished in twelfth place overall:
- Craig Slocombe (30:19), one of our newest members, and one to watch out for at XC next year;
- Craig Mitchell (31:31);
- Lisa Briggs (35:19), who was our first lady to cross the finish line, taking home a new PB;
- Debs Hollidge (38:09) who also secured herself a brand new PB and a four star standard;
- Paul Hollidge (38:46) who achieved a three star standard;
- Phil Presland (38:48) who followed Paul across the finish line in a better-than-expected time;
- Sarah Davison (40:00), Paul Davison (40:01) and Magdalena Komorowska (40:02) who all crossed the line together;
- and Derek Greenham (43:11)
Rising again for parkrun the next day were:
- Lisa Briggs who was at New Earswick parkrun where she was first lady home in 22:46
- Debs and Paul Hollidge who were at Sloughbottom parkrun where they finished in 24:45
Other parkrun finishers included:
- Martin Owen, who has very nearly ascended to his half-Cowell, completing his 49th different event at Pocket parkrun;
- Marion Simmons, who was second in her age category at Colchester Castle parkrun in 28:21;
- and Charlotte Hammond who also ran Colchester Castle parkrun pushing baby Jasper in 32:50
You can see our full consolidated parkrun results on the parkrun website. Amen.
