It appears that this weeks highlight was the Brentwood Half Marathon where our GBRC representatives did us all proud. There were many PB’s to shout about too! Apologies in advance for any I miss, my Facebook/Strava stalking isn’t quite up to some of my fellow report writers (cough Lisa and Charlie). Paul D led the way in a speedy 1:29:41 and was followed by Lisa (1:38:36) and Mags (1:40:46) both getting new PB’s and continuing to amaze us all with how fast they are becoming. They were joined by Robert Lee (1:42:34), Rob Dyer (1:43:30), Sarah D (1:53:10), Kathy (1:55:26), Caroline D (1:57:59), Bev S (2:02:23), Nick Eddings (2:08:16), Larina and Andrea (2:10:17), Donna H (2:22:11), Laura C (2:22:13), Michelle A (2:33:04), Bee H/B with a new PB (2:37:44) and Natalie M (3:01:10). Hopefully I haven’t missed anyone but with so many new members its likely someone registered before becoming affiliated with us.

On Saturday we had the usual enthusiasm for parkrun tourism. Helene took a trip to Basildon where she was pleased to get rund in 35:27 after feeling ill all week.

Grainne, Mat and Kate visited Market Harlborough parkrun. This was Grainne’s first full run since becoming injured so hopefully we’ll hear a lot more from her as she returns to full health. Kate jeffed it with a buggy which looks pretty muddy so I can’t imagine that was easy!

Mel, Laura, Natalie and Bee H took a trip to Wickford memorial ticking one more parkrun off their challenge.

Rounding up this weeks tourism was Richard Moor in York.
There was a lot more parkrunning in the usual locations which you can find here -https://www.parkrun.com/results/consolidatedclub/?clubNum=1475
